ACCP Ischemic Stroke Guidelines
Multiple treatment guidelines include recommendations for PLAVIX.
The Seventh ACCP Conference on Antithrombotic and Thrombolytic Therapy Guidelines
include PLAVIX recommendations for ischemic stroke.
PLAVIX is not indicated for use with aspirin in patients with ischemic stroke.
In patients with recent transient ischemic attack or stroke who are at high risk of recurrent ischemic events, the combination of aspirin
and PLAVIX has not been shown to be more effective than PLAVIX alone, but the combination has been shown to increase major bleeding.

† Grade 1A is defined as a strong recommendation that can apply to
most patients, in most circumstances, without reservations.
